Sure but I think there's a fair argument to be made for letting people make that call for themselves
How? They're in custody. If the person says they're innocent, how is any attempt to avoid a trial and get a conviction NOT coercion?

Well, in my perfect justice system there is no bail, you're either released, poss w an ankle monitor, or remanded (and that would be rare)
