He definitely was (probably is) callous toward the deaths of black people at the hands of white people and cops. Like MANY whites I know.
That's not okay. I wholeheartedly disagree with it on every level.

You shouldn't align with that person on that. But if they can help us end war and get universal healthcare, why not align on those things?
