In my opinion, if there's going to be a bias, it should be in favor of the taxpayers.

All public employees work at the behest of the taxpayers. If police do things taxpayers don't like, they need to stop.

I agree to a point. If a bunch of taxpayers form a group and want to lynch a #badcop that's too far. Of course that's an extreme example

Laws and Rights are inversely proportional. You're worried about laws. That's the exact problem right now.

The law itself or the enforcement of said laws? The enforcers need to also comply but I don't think just anybody is qualified to enforce

People in general need to learn right and wrong. It's sad how many Americans are willing to abuse any amount of power they can get.
