How did so many the people who demanded we all stay home, mask up and get vaxxed to reduce the risk of COVID find themselves advocating for a nuclear war with Russia?

I dont think this necessarily holds up. There is actually a fair bit of context for US/Russian clashes in the sky and Putin's threat of nuclear war would be politically untenable for him, and even more likely, practically impossible.

It would be equally dishonest to say that advocating against NATO intervention in Ukraine is advocating for nuclear war, because that's what not stopping Russia in Ukraine will lead to.
