What does your patreon account have to do with your troubles with Vice?

Essentially, by calling them and the writer out it was claimed as doxing and filed as a complaint with patreon which swiftly deactivated the account with no investigation.

Thanks for clearing that up. But I think that she has a good case against Vice... and Patreon for that matter.

Kinda hard to pursue such a case (a) from China as a Chinese national and (b) when your main source of income just disappeared.

Can't she use different platforms to get paid? Like a crypto currency?

That's another disappointing turn of events. I do hope this all gets sorted out quickly Naomi. I can't understand why @Patreon is getting involved. Don't let it stop or derail you. Stay strong and know that the community is with you.

Sadly she did violate Patreon's guidelines-rules, because she shared someone's home address in NY in the youtube video that was deleted (archived video is proof). Patreon got involved because they deactivate doxer accounts. I don't think the community likes doxers.

You are correct but keep in mind she was angry and people are allowed to make mistakes when they feel they are being screwed, also Patreon could just remove the video instead they went all out on her main source of income. Doxxing is wrong but in this case the name of....

...the journalist is public and anyone can search for her, given enough time and knowledge. Yes, doxing is wrong but going after the person you interviewed is just bad journalism. Peace.

This is the result of Naomi's wrongdoing. Mistakes you make while angry and don't apologize for are not "allowed". She doxed someone and she is playing the victim now, like she did nothing wrong. Sorry, that is not OK or allowed.
