If you read past the headline you would know that they are part of a group that is "negotiating for peace in Afghanistan". Seems like a good thing no?
-
If you knew anything you’d realize these 5 individuals were all close right hand men to the Taliban’s creator & inaugural insurgent leader, & are responsible for establishing the mega ultra conservative tenets of Islam that began decimating Afghanistan in 1996 So no, it’s not.

I'm sorry. Irish men who were once branded as terrorists and actually bombed places made a 180 and became respected members of parties and governments. What I'm saying is there is previous history of this kind of thing happening and working. Why not?
-
The difference is, 0 of the times to which you speak have men immured due to affiliations with, or from acting on behalf of, terrorist groups actively reengaged with those same creeds upon their release, when the extremist impetuses of the said group are still as radical as ever
-
As its obvious you are quick to pass judgement and believe the talks will fail, I am not alone in the hope that these men could actually be a catalyst for some kind of peace in the region. Having a dialogue is important and If you don't work for peace then you work for war.
-
The latter portion is valid from a putative or ideational perspective—but it’s not a pragmatic assessment of reality pertaining to the current & historically capricious geopolitics of that region extending back 30+ years. The Taliban is not known for their rationality & sagacity.

That’s like a Prophecy. We The People knew this was going to happen. Why didn’t they JUST LISTEN...

You’ve said that multiple times on this thread, but have yet to provide a single scrap of proof that that’s true… You might wanna look into that.
-
They’re trying to get peace in Afghanistan by killing everyone that opposes them

Yet we currently have a candidate in ARIZONA who in 2003 thought it would be acceptable for Americans to join the Taliban !
