So many journalists are being murdered in Mexico that entire news organizations are closing because they've had enough of the carnage. Amazing how American media is selectively *not* outraged when journalists south of the border are killed.https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/03/adios-mexican-newspaper-norte-closes-after-of-journalist …

Compare the media's coverage of Khashoggi and the murder of these people: Four Americans killed in Benghazi Kate Steinle died at the hands of a criminal illegal alien Seth Rich murdered in the middle of the campaign. I don't condone Khashoggi's murder. I really don't care

Acknowledging the butchery in Mexico would work against the leftist media's contradictory narrative that Mexico is both a country that can justifiably send its citizens to invade the USA like refugees, while still insisting it's not actually a "sh*thole country."

Great point, it is never spoken of. I spoke to a journalist in Houston in 2014, who said he would rather be in Syria as Juarez.

Not “exactly”. The Mexican journalists are being killed by cartels, not government officials. And Trump isn’t cozying up with the cartels. The only thing these two stories have in common is the phrase “journalists killed”.

Maybe you’re right. But that’s speculation. In the base of Saudis, there’s no doubt. A direct line to the King is very different than possible associations.
