That AR would normally be sold as a short barreled rifle (SBR) but with that stock, it is considered a pistol. https://www.primaryarms.com/shockwave-blade-pistol-stabilizer-black-kak-shkwv-blk …pic.twitter.com/tdJ0QpTFxd

Splinter News deleted their tweet after I called them out and are now saying it was "long guns," which is still wrong considering the pic they used. The government considers the firearm in this photo to be a *pistol* not a "long gun." https://twitter.com/splinter_news/status/1052039302266413056 …pic.twitter.com/jeGVtkZdXN
Definitely an SBR but I understand your point
Nope, that stock is a pistol stock
The stock can’t be a pistol. Also if the buttstock is present it is not considered a pistol it is now an SBR short Barreled Rifle. We are debating semantics let’s agree Calling it a sniper rifle is stupid.
The entire point is that the pictured firearm doesn't have a stock.
Beyond embarrassing. At least they didn’t call it a rocket launcher
Some good technicsl info here, but shooters have sniped with a lot less. Sniping is as much about tactics and effects as it is about the equipment one uses. Sure, rifles designed for the purpose are optimum, but under fire from high ground, you won't care much.
You can snipe with a brick from above and close
No magazine,to open carry and that's an ar 15 pistol that's no more a " sniper rifle" than #Fauxcahontas is a Cherokee indian. #FakeNews #2Aallday
