If f you read rather than sneer, they're using "feminine" for femme, not the sex. E.g., what about butch moms?

it's pretty normal and not particularly harmful to make associations based on common observations
-
that's why we think of beard as masculine and pregnancy as feminine
-
But common assumptions can cause problems when they become prejudices or stereotypes. Not all moms are femmy.
-
Mike you are disregarding identifyble reality. Female is a scientific term. All moms are female.
-
"Feminine" means female sex or "girly." The article refers to pregnancy being linked to girliness.
-
feminine refers to things typically associated with females, hard to argue pregnancy doesn't belong there

The point is that you're conflating behavioral and biological traits. Pregnancy is a feminine biological function.
