NZ ACC is 'universal' accident cover... no need to sue, you're supposed to get the care and if required up to 80% of your income if you can't work.

They look for any reason to decline claims - goes against the original intent/ethos of the scheme. Have a sister-in-law with back injuries from nursing that ACC won’t cover due to “inadequate records”

It blows me away that this type of injury does not take 1st priority. I cringe ever time $450 gets taken out of my paycheck for my partner and I here in the States but the thought of waiting in line for brain surgery and paying out of pocket for a private hospital, crazy!

The truth is that I don't know much about how they decide this issue, but I suppose that it's not convenient for them to accept that the work of a stunt woman is related to an aneurysm, but it's obviously related.
