"We would not release FSD beta if the safety statistics weren't good"
Yes you absolutely would, you'd just lie about the "safety statistics" like you've been doing with Autopilot for literally years
Quote Tweet
You know how I've been saying since 2016 that Tesla's comparison of raw Autopilot crash data to average human driver crash data is deceptive because it doesn't adjust for the safety of the operating domain (among other factors)?
@NoahGoodall proved it!

One of Musk’s biggest miscalculations was removing radar from $TSLA vehicles and rejecting LiDAR. Consequences? Cameras are insufficient, forcing wipers to turn on even when it’s not raining, making it dangerous to drive, while wearing out the wipers / blades faster.

Yes. We've broken out of the hellscape of legacy social media and found a comfortable second home on where we've already spread the truth to 9 million people with open minds.
Perhaps just doesn't understand the TikTok Generation.

NHTSA has released its findings, confirming the driver's claim that Tesla's Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD) system WAS engaged at the time of the crash and may have actually CAUSED the accident.
Remember how Omar sits it couldn't have been FSD? Oops. $TSLAQ

Latest Tesla FSD Beta feedback from owner / complaint to NHTSA: “FSD is a deadly scam — my car is trying to kill me.”
FSD Beta is a $15,000 option and remains deadly defective.

If Full Self-Driving was fully self-driving every car, millions would die every day.

MUSK personally directed the 2016 video that claimed FSD was driving the car autonomously - a false claim he made to stave off bankruptcy. It was the FSD/robotaxi fervour that duped customers into buying M3s that kept Tesla afloat. This is fraud.

It’s one year since The Dawn Project launched its campaign to Make Computers Safe for Humanity, starting with highlighting the dangers of Full Self-Driving.
Let’s take a look at how much has changed since our campaign started:

The internet is cool and all, but you could have learned today's news that Tesla's "Full Self-Driving" video was fraudulent by reading a damn book like three and half years ago.
And guess what?
You might still learn something new if you buy it today!

NEW: Elon Musk oversaw the creation of a 2016 video that exaggerated the abilities of Tesla’s driver-assistance system Autopilot, even dictating the opening text that claimed the company’s car drove itself, according to internal emails viewed by Bloomberg

. sold $38.3bn of $TSLA stock in 14 months, whilst telling investors not to panic about the plunging stock price, predicting it would be worth 10x what he then secretly sold for - despite promises to not sell further stock! Read our blog here: bit.ly/3ZL67eB

Just speaking candidly, the government bears heavy responsibility for this Tesla FSD mess too.
We knew automated driver systems were coming. We could have set a regulatory pathway for automakers. Instead, we did nothing - and forced anyone entering the space to risk lawsuits.

It was known in 2016 that Musk faked this video:
1. Tesla logged zero self driving miles with the California regulator
2. Locals reported the film crew doing numerous takes
3. It was (and still is) well established that Teslas cannot reliably navigate complex traffic

A 2016 video that Tesla used to promote its self-driving technology was staged to show capabilities that the system did not have. A senior Tesla engineer said Tesla’s Autopilot team set out to engineer and record a demonstration at Musk's request reut.rs/3watvow

I don't know if I can put into words how terrible this is, but I'll try.
This quote is from a deposition of Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla's Head of Autopilot Software relating to the 2018 fatal Autopilot crash of Walter Huang.
He doesnt know what an Operational Design Domain (ODD) is.

Tesla removing ultrasonic sensors while promising Tesla Vision which is yet to be rolled out has got to be the biggest automotive scam of 2022-2023 (after perpetually defective FSD Beta). Without USS, not only is parking dangerous, features like Auto Park and Summon are disabled.

Perhaps I no longer need to pay to promote the flaws in his dangerous Full Self-Driving software 🤔

Surveillance cameras caught Tesla FSD swerving in front of a vehicle for no reason and slamming on the brakes, injuring multiple people including a two-year-old child.
This technology is fundamentally broken and needs to be recalled.

If Tesla’s self-driving tech can’t handle obstruction-free multi-lane highways how on Earth will it cope with more complex scenarios? Pedestrians, cyclists *and drivers* should not be put at risk by such tech.

A tweet from Elon Musk indicating that Tesla might allow some owners testing a “Full Self-Driving” system to disable an alert that reminds them to keep their hands on the steering wheel has drawn attention from U.S. safety regulators.
