Sorry to disappoint, but I'll condemn it. Assuming it is what it appears to be, it is entirely unacceptable.
I do think #MAGA was intended to divide us, but I also think that most people who wear it have no such intent. Even those few who do are within their rights.https://twitter.com/RealCandaceO/status/1055547953996271616 …

Bret is a highly educated man, why he would still make the patently untenable case that
#MAGA was intended to be divisive is beyond me. It's just not born out in any objective reality, it's solely the product of a partisan interpretive framework projected into social relations -
Unless you were there when the slogan was chosen and you heard the discussion, you can't know. And neither can I. What I'm telling you is that the fact that it divides us is predictable, and it worked to Trump's advantage. I think it was a very clever strategy. You disagree. Ok
-
Not only would it appear to be tenable that
#MAGA is divisive, it would also appear that suggesting it's divisive is divisive. It's turtles all the way down...pic.twitter.com/u8qgF8issC -
“change we can believe in” = “make America great again” ..just two different groups of people..
..Elections have consequences.. -
We want change! But you know.. Normal changes.. Because change is scary.
-
Exactly. Normal change to you may not be normal change to someone else
-
Yep. I like that Trump isn't acting like a "normal" president and I like the alot of changes I see. I also understand people who fear changes they don't agree with. I'm not scared.

-
I also understand that he lies. They all do. He's just more blunt about it. "It not what he says it's the way he says it"
Doesn't bother me. But again I understand why it might bother some. - 1 more reply

#maga was intended to unite us....It is NOT a reference to race or creed - but all of us as Americans. There is, sadly, folks who don't think America should be great or ever was. Folks who wear it welcome all to join - even folks with different skin or different beliefs. - 1 more reply

I'll vote for
#MAGA not intending to divide us but intending to unite ALL AMERICANS towards policies that elevate ALL AMERICANS. The only people who think otherwise blame America for all ills in the world when we do more good for the world than any other country. Prosperity liftsThanks. Not sure if the decent human being was a inside joke but Bret is one of the more reasonable progressives. I think you would agree more than you think on some issues - he would be a good friend to make.

MAGA was most definitely designed to unite America and make it better for all. Hatred, division, envy & negativity is a hallmark of Marxism & leftism worldwide. Projection by lefties & their media doesn't alter the facts.
-
Genuine question- when was America “greater” than it is today?
-
Ask a Yank - and good luck finding a sensible one!

You have to WANT to see things that way, cause otherwise why arent "Yes We Can", "Change (We Need)", or "Love Trumps Hate" equally divisive, if not more so?
