You’ve made up your mind I see — I appreciate you man. Free speech is important but extremely complex. Good things take time. Companies make mistakes as well as wonderful things. Open conversation an open mindedness is super important — kindness is crucial

Free Speech is important, it’s also the only party of the first amendment ppl read and with no context. Youtube is not a public space funded by public money. It’s a privately held company. They can deny access and as
@romina said we all agreed to TOS. They are within rights1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Yes they are with in their right. This has nothing to do with my channel. They have treated me fairly enough. This is about search filters They have a massive monopoly and if they start banning certain search tools it is impossible to find those things anywhere else.

You can say all that without being rude or ugly to Cody and Romina who you owe an apology. And you can’t just say if someone doesn’t share your political ideology they don’t care about Free Speech. You have to own your missteps here.

I regret nothing. When you’re refusing to stand up for free speech and having the search filters on that is extremely dangerous wether you fully understand it or not. Behaving in a dangerous matter deserves being called out. Grow up. You really can’t handle a harmless insult?

Grow up? I’m grown, I run a business and I don’t whine and cry when ppl disagree with me and just call them names or waive the white flag of free speech when a private company changes the deal on a FREE service I don’t pay for. Are u suggesting I don’t understand SEARCH???

Either you don’t understand it or you don’t care about it. Still bad either way. I am proposing a solution where everyone wins though.
@TeamYouTube can just ban search filters for words related to the shooting and other bad things then leave them on for everything else.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Build and run a business and please let me tell you how to run your Free service I don’t pay for to your liking... And when ppl rightly call me out for it, I’ll be sure to insult them and assume their political agenda, and be an asshole...

I would actually use common sense and listen to people when they are upset. Especialy if there is a very easy solution.
Also many people do pay for YouTube. It is called YouTube Red. Search filters are broken for everyone who pays for YouTube too.
They can fix it in 5 mins.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

YouTube is listening to all of the people who wanted there to be no way for the violent NZ vids to spread and wanted YT to take massive action to ensure that ... that’s what I am saying it’s just a really complex thing (free speech, running a billion dollar business) — takes time

Since that is what they want, why not just ban search filters for all words related to the shooting? There is no reason I should not be able to use search filters to find the latest basketball highlights from my favorite player Trae Young. Many others are frustrated also.
