That is exactly what it is. Are you blind? YouTube could easily just ban the ability to use search filters for specific search terms related to the shooting. Easy fix. Instead they chose the ban all filters because controlling us is better to them than doing the right thing...

What sre you guessing? My channels have 240k and 14k and both cover breaking news. That includes celebrities passing away, political news, and other things. A lot of people find my vids with search filters and I find a lot of vids with them too.

I know they have been clear about it and they can legally do it. That is why I am protesting against it because I would like them to decide to stop. No matter what you think, the search filters are a great tool and we don't have them right now because YouTube disabled it.

All I am asking for right now is that YouTube turns the search filters back on that have been off for a week. It is about beimg able to find things easier as YouTube consumers. YouTube should just ban the search filters for terms related to the shooting. Same exact effect.

They’ll get them back on - it takes time to do things in small businesses, let alone billion dollar companies. So many perspectives to consider and facets to cover.

There is some truth to that but remember they are owned and run by perhaps the most powerful conpany in the world. They can and should be better. I hope they turn it back on today. It would not be that hard to just turn off the search filters for shooting/terror related terms.
