      One of the heaviest hitting @PlayVALORANT tournaments yet with (almost) every top NA team, $10K prizing, is barely itting 7000 concurrent viewers. I recall @PlayOverwatch GosuGamers weeklies w/ $200 prize pools easily hitting 25,000 concurrents. 🤔

      I'm not saying this to shit talk VAL or demean it's esports potential. It's a great game that will become a big esport one day. This is merely a passive observation. I'm frankly shocked how slow VAL esports has been to get off the starting line.

      Maybe timeline comparison is not the same? OW had a much longer alpha + close beta phase. How many days into playable OW is this 25k viewers gosu?

      Yeah, I don't remember 20k+ for OW unless it was Apex, IEM or Dreamhack. The only events that got over 100k before OWL was World Cup (and Apex for finals). I think 11k viewers for a non-promoted IMT tournament is p good But like I said, we will see with big tournies soon

      Alienware monthly melees regularly had 25k+ in NA, even hitting in the 30s and 40s for semis and finals if I recall correctly.

          That is April 2017 viewership - a valid comparison should be an event dated March or so 2016 or right after OW release but that would be generous given the longer beta phase.
