People of color in the Twin Cities are hurting desperately under Trump's xenophobia, increased racist &Islamophobic & antisemitic rhetoric and policies. Gun violence. Attacks on POCI, Muslims, and Jews have sky-rocketed under this president. Deportations. People are terrified. 2/

But to hear Trump and his ilk speak, Black folks on the North side *should* have disdain for the rural farmers. And rural farmers should be terrified of people of color in the cities-especially men-who "run around in gangs" and "harm *good* (read white) people." 3/

They profit off of our communal suffering. And nothing gets done with regard to effective farm policy, public education, immigration reform, addressing climate crisis, gun violence, raising minimum wage, stemming the cost of rising life saving drug costs (like insulin!), 6/x

creating affordable and quality health care, and public transportation. We must ALWAYS ask ourselves: Who profits from these campaigns of fear and mistrust? Who do they benefit? Certainly not urban folks or rural folks. 7/x
