So I just got out of #AQuietPlace & boy it was dumb.
Okay good things first. The cinematography, acting, gimmick of very little sound including voices, & concept were all fantastic. There were a few bullshit jump scares, but most of the scenes had good tension.

I probably won't recommend going to see it in theaters, especially if you have Misophonia like I do because you might sit next to a asshat who shovels handfuls of crunchy popcorn into his gaping maw through the entire movie.... but
@quietplacemovie is definitely worth a rental.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -
Okay, SPOILERS! Dear god there was just so much wrong with everything. I honestly kept getting pulled out of the story because the flaws were so glaring. 1. These things are the easiest thing to kill EVER. Just strap a radio to someone explosives & blow them up.

No it's possible that their exoskeletons would protect them from that, but if their head thing was open at the time they would 100% be dead if a shotgun could kill them. 2. If they don't attack natural sounds why wouldn't you just get massive speakers & blaring white noise 24/7

So then why aren't they attack the river 24/7? Or that swing set that they walk past? Or grass that the wind is blowing? Or the water that was flowing into the basement? My point is that they could have using similar white noise to mask their home.
