Thats not what Im saying. Im saying the response is overreacting. People are calling him transphobic and going on a crusade over one joke.

Okay, so here's the problem. Words like Transphobic, Racist, Sexist etc are broad terms. e.g. saying something that's insensitive to someone can be racist & beating someone to death because they are black is also racist.

Phil likes to present himself as a legitimate source of news. His format consists of presenting a story objectively & then giving his opinion on it. In this case he title poisons the well. You're primed to think the controversy is "ridiculous" before he even gets to the story.

Ethan from h3h3 made a dumb joke that was, probably unintentionally, punching down at Trans people. A Trans women called him Transphobic & he reacted by being a dismissive child.

I didn’t. Its still funny. Still wasnt targeted at mocking trans people.
-
No one is saying that he targeted Trans people
The point is that it's still propping up stigma about why people transition & is belittling it.
I don't think anyone is saying that he did it on purpose. He just didn't think about how it was punching down at some people - 4 more replies
