The difference is in impulse control, which doesn't apply to voting. 18 is arbitrary. I allow 18 because 18 year olds tend to start careers and join the military and are legally taken out of preview of their parents and become responsible for themselves. That's why they should vote. I wouldn't mind raising voting age to 25 inherently
Also during founding of America it was 26 I believe and keep in mind they have lower life spans. I don't have an inherent problem with raising age limits. The point was having people who are more educated and/or have more experience
