I believe they will be better than human. Technology usually does that. I predict in the far future there will be such a gap that it will be an ethical question whether people should be allowed to drive cars

I doubt people will go for that. Self driving cars may be a dud. Best case is a fusion where car merely perfects and corrects human errors but doesn't take full control. Like some cars now automatically stop when you are about to crash

Well there's another question in regards to driverless vehicles. On who does the liability fall upon? How long will victims of these crashes be expected to wait before legislation is passed or court precedent set.
