What the fuck does "Used for defensive purposes" even mean? The paper I cited looked at cases when someone actually used a gun not just had one because they want to protect themselves. I'm talking about the real world efficacy of using a gun to defend yourself.
Your numbers don't say what impact the use of a gun had, which was my entire point. If 500,000-3mill ppl use guns to defend themselves & they aren't ass effective as other methods then what is your point? Just that someone used one. Who the fuck is the autist here?

A guy robs you and notices the gun, doesn't care but notices the girl has some muscles and runs terrified. I'm going with the best data available, now you prove that these guns aren't the relevant factor when people with guns avoid harm

Me: Here's data showing an analysis of incidences where someone used a gun in self-defense. They found that guns are not more effective than other methods. FrogNation: Yeah, but if a guy goes into your house! I have hypothetical anecdotes!
