I'm assuming that they mean the actual definition of an assault weapon & not an AR-15 for example(but most Americans call Magazines Clips so who knows)

The NRA seems to be against it. Becoming a member gives them money to lobby against background checks. Seems counterproductive to just trigger the Lidspic.twitter.com/AQZLTaX6iN
