Actually, it's not a dumb idea, and you are grossly misrepresenting Veterans. Not all Vets suffer from PTSD. They are already in security positions as well as bus drivers and the like. You could give them a mental health screening. Don't count all of them out.

I agree with Maddy here. You’d be solving two problems while ensuring the safety of the students. As long as they’re mentally capable, then I’m for it.

I agree a little with everyone here. The dangerous veteran with PTSD is a stereotype & if they pass an evaluation then fine. But I think this is an absolutely ridiculous "solution" to this problem. It's a band-aid that only puts more people in harms way.
