Well that would be a good point if we thought that gun regulations would eliminate all gun related injuries/deaths. The problem is that no one is making that argument. It's about a reduction of gun injuries/deaths not the elimination of all injuries/deaths.
That's like saying "Well if you make people wear seat belts people will still die in car crashes. So there's no point in making people wear seat belts."
