I think it depends on how you want to go about it. Yeah, but I don't think that most people think "Oh hey there aren't many women there. That gives me an edge." When any one group is the vast majority of a genre ppl just assume that it's the norm, which discourages outsiders from coming in.

There is also the problem of women getting WAY more hate on the internet especially when they come into an area that though of a male dominated e.g. video games.
