Why did Carl use a leader of a fascist army & the outro to fascist state run propaganda from Starship Troopers to end his video about forming a new group of "Liberalists" to battle SJWs?pic.twitter.com/2LguUhVQec

Starship Troopers & RoboCop both get exponentially better once you realize the satire underpinning them.

I was shocked at the novel and its author even more.

The author is to fascism what ayn rand is for libertarianism. The movie did an excellent job of satirizing the original work

I remember the first time I watched it, when at the end they drag the brain bug out and Barney reads it mind and declares to cheers 'It's Afraid' It didn't sit well with me at all, I just thought, "that's not very Star Trek"pic.twitter.com/iAqMvy2a2Y

I just looked up that scene again, it's not even slightly subtle, the generals are literally dressed like Nazis But the comments underneath are special, awful people don't seem to appreciate the irony.https://youtu.be/TGe6017JwPw

I think that was a lot of the point. The viewer is so caught up in the war that even though the commentary is on the nose, they’ll likely miss it the first time around unless they were ready for it. We see a lot of heroism and the viewers forget about the Federation leading them.

Then we start thinking about how did that meteor hit Buenos Aires from that far with no warning? Either it was let through on purpose or it was a false flag to give humanity reason to up the war effort against the bugs, who Federation invaded first
