I agree that it isn't because Men & Women/Whites & Minorities get paid a different wage for each hour worked in the same position(in most cases, when it comes to negotiable wages there is a difference) but you're also being disingenuous Why do they choose different career paths?

So the issue here to you is merely the social element and you admit that the wage gap is not caused by a conspiratorial discrimination of employers. It doesn't matter what people are interested in and you shouldn't try and force women into stem if they don't want to

Women are more educated than men and I don't think they face as much social barriers to entering stem except maybe besides the fact that there is the gender imbalance. There is more social problems when it comes to race
