Yep we need to pull out of that money drain. Imagine how far our taxes would go.. btw you hear Chicago is thinking of asking for UN troops.... oh yea we barely trust our own gov policing or putting troops on home soil lets bring in a foreign army known for sex trafficking...

It is along with nato. If all countrys paid an equal % of their gdp i wouldn't mind but US seems to fit the bill in both and how much influence do we really have? I dont think it gets us much more then ability to sabre rattle and claim to pull out and they still do what they want

What? Contributions are determined based on the size of each country's economy. No country in the U.N. has unilateral power, but pulling out would hurt ties with allies & allow other countries to fill that power vacuum. There is no way that pulling out would help us.
