Some people absolutely do find "Merry Christmas" offensive. The bigger issue BY FAR though, is people who are afraid OTHERS will find it offensive, and are upset or concerned on their behalf.https://twitter.com/classiclib3ral/status/942165875481829376 …

The authors who wrote these articles, for example, don't say THEY think Christmas greetings are offensive, but rather ponder how to accommodate the people out there who might be offended. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/donna-ballman/happy-holidays-instead-of_1_b_8859118.html … http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/blog/holiday-etiquette-in-your-work-life-how-to-keep-it-fun-and-inclusive … http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-chain-stores-merry-christmas-happy-holidays-20161223-story.html …

I'm disagreeing with the people who think it's offensive. These sources show that some people do think "Merry Christmas" is an offensive phrase, if not to themselves than to others. The point to counter them is to say "it's not offensive."
