Because not valuing the professions women choose as much isn't a problem & still designating women as primary care givers isn't a problem...
Idk I think discouraging women from going into law or STEM ect for a long time is unfair & sexist & is a big reason for the disparity.

If it's about the history of women from the 70s than yeah. I guess what I meant was about the pay gap 77% thing is not out of sexism.

But, the main reason why the pay gap exists is because of those sexist things that really haven't changed until recently.

Also, women being expected to be the primary caregivers/doing housework gives them less time to work/go to school which is also a factor.

Well isn't that about social responsibility that one must make. The trade off. Not all women can do it all. Lots of women actually prefer it

Like how the notion that "women got payed less for doing the same job". That is sexism. But actually that's just not true.
