Don't want to be a buzzkill, but that whole ending was a huge let down for me.

In the first one? I agree the villain is really bland and it is sort of a "POWER OF FRIENDSHIP" cliche ending

I thought the "get all the bad guys to work with the good guys" thing worked great. But the cute friendship ending was an eye roll.

I agree. The first half was amazing, but the second half lost a lot of steam. I think they did a better job in Volume 2

I really didn't like vol 2. To me it had all the same problems as 1 but with none of the newness.

ah wow! I thought it wasn't as fresh but I still liked it a lot. I felt it had a better villain and story and all of Yondu's stuff was great

(SPOILERS) the line about the tumor and how bluntly it was delivered stood out as something exceptionally dark for a Marvel/Disney film

Though I wish the emotional stuff had been given more room to breathe vs SO MUCH being packed into one film

The tumor line was yet another example of the film telling us a plot point instead of us discovering it. That line was way out of left field

I liked it! I was like "woah". But I totally get what you mean. Would have been better for Quill to discover organically

& the tension of him being seduced was instantly broken More could of been done with that It kinda made Ego come off as less of a threat too
