For the fourth time, no I’m not going to “sing & tap dance” to vote for him lol Idk why I can’t get a clear answer. If you believe it, can you clearly type: “Yes I’m voting for Biden & I think other people should too”?

I think, in the short term, generally, people should probably vote for Joe Biden--but sometimes you really seem like you refuse to engage with how the Lesser of Two Evils voting method is part of what has pulled the country sharply right over the years.

I'm also not going to lambaste people who are absolutely tired of trudging to the polls cycle after cycle only to have their interests go unheeded because corporate-driven Democrats will continue to dance with the devil of right wing politics to maintain power.

I'm split on it, but holding your own vote hostage *does* send a message--because in the long term, it seems like people have to vote between "kill 10k people tomorrow, or kill 1 million slowly over time by more and more compromises"

This is especially complicated when you consider that only a small percentage of Americans live in swing districts, and it seems naive to act like America has a general election when it doesn't. I'm voting as a Chicagoan, which has a lot of complicated elements attached.

I can say with certainty that I don't think it's worthwhile to spend time picking out people who are angry and frustrated with the system and demeaning them, even if their venting hits you. There are way better battles to fight out there.

Part of the problem is short term thinking that treats each election like a switch that will turn the country one way or the other in the short term instead of as a long term process. People are looking back at their decade+ of voting, their parents' decades voting, and are angry

Honestly, I was a lot more sympathetic towards ppl not voting in safe states, but Trump is definitely going to challenge the results if he loses & the popular vote is going to be very important at that point

And sure, there are more important fights. These all came from one tweet that I made at a Bernie or Buster & now multiple people have jumped in with their dumbass followers
I’m not going to ignore all of it. These ideas are poison to progressive/Leftist effectiveness
