It can be said that it was trans allegory from the writers subconscious, back when they might not have been aware of their identity. (Its an angle ive used more than once in uni film analysis)
...maybe? That’s a decent way of looking at it, I still think the film doesn’t convey a trans metaphor that well but more power to the writers for being happy in life
To me it seems ExTrEmELy StRaNge to call what is probably the most obvious and apparent reading of The Matrix a post-hoc addition by the creators. Its a literal red pill....
