what if voting wasnt the most important part of politics

Sure will be fun fighting another 4 years of full fascist Trump instead of fighting Biden who is already working with Bernie

saying voting isnt the most important part of politics doesnt mean i think candidates are equivalent. but if civil unrest continued this long under biden, what do you think hed do?

Wait, I might be wrong, but aren’t you a never Biden person? “What if Biden was a fascist” is an interesting way to re frame things tho

im not a never biden, no. also, you reframed it to "fascism" liberal societies have put down protests with aggressive policing for uhhhhh ever.

Okay, my bad. I thought we argued about that at some point. Wait, do you think that what Trump is doing now if different from what was done in the past?

some things, yeah, some not. nameless feds is pretty spooky and rare, as far as my memory serves me. but disappearing protesters with no accountability has happened a lot in various liberal societies including ours.

Sure, but it seems like the climate is really different now. The use of CBP & ICE, designating “antifa” as terrorists, the level & length of the brutality. That’s putting aside all the weird dog whistle shit. Trump is going way farther mask off than any recent president & faster

agreed on the antifa point. although the level of brutality seems synonymous with the response under obama during the birth of blm dont get me wrong, voting is fine. it serves its purpose. i already agree the candidates arent equivalent we just have to understand their limits

what i'm feeling from
@RationalDis (and correct me if i'm wrong) is a lot of anxiety over trump getting another 4 years and an urge to snuff out *anything* that might facilitate this (e.g. tweets that might diminish the power of voting). I absolutely understand this anxiety btw.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
Yeah, that’s 100% it. I recognize that I have developed a bit of a hair trigger about it, which probably isn’t good. I just really can’t believe that the Bernie or Bust conversation is still going on
