Right wingers: "This corporation is just using you for profit can't you see?" LGTBQ+: "I agree with that actually, I wish there was more valid representation and pushes for equality" Right wingers: "ALL THE CORPORATIONS LOVE YOU WHAT INEQUALITY REEEEEEEEE"

That's what I mean about right wingers looking at everything in the lenses of "culture war" instead of systemic and structural critique of the system. Same way conservatives thinks that our broken healthcare system and income inequality is caused by cultural and societal problems

And who is to say that it will stop now that that has been passed? I have a bad feeling employers will start firing LGBTQ+ people by just saying "they weren't fit for the job" or some bullshit like that.

literally any time a specific instance of discrimination is made illegal the people who were doing it just continue doing it and saying that they're doing it for a different reason even when a brief glance at all of their practices show they're still doing the illegal thing

Ah yes, the rights I want. Dystopian capitalism with a rainbow veneer. Truly, I am protected by Burger King remembering to gay it up during June or when a hate crime is committed. What need do I have of legal rights?
