To be clear, I'm sure that social workers do abuse there power, like anyone else, & there definitely are reforms that can be pushed for more oversight, but saying that their power trips are the same as armed police is in no way equivalent.

I think her point is that even social workers can be abusive, causing emotional trauma instead of... shooting people. Granted, I'm sure if I google search long enough, there might be plenty of stories of SW's beating up clients, too.

There is. My neighbour was abused by social workers, they broke all his things and threatened him. They're especially vicious towards the elderly.
