So electrons exist in orbits around a nucleus, but they don't actually exist at a single point like diagram 1. Instead they kinda exist in many places until they are measured. The blobs are what's called an electron cloud & it shows the actual distribution of electrons.pic.twitter.com/s4FKUOVNPn
