I really don't know if voting for Biden really is damage control. 4 years of Trump before trying to get another progressive candidate in or 4 years of Biden followed up with a choice between 4 years of Biden or 4 years of a republican.

Is it damage control to pick between the two right wing authoritarian warmongering sex pests? A mass movement to vote third party genuinely might get more done.

It's a very American two party thing, splitting the vote. Splitting it tells the democratic party that you're pissed off at them and that just because you're political system demands two parties doesn't mean you'll vote for a sex pest.

The problem is that they don't give a fuck. No one is going to "teach them a lesson" they would take Trump over Sanders every day. Now, trying to primary them might change things.

I'm hoping that there's something that you can do, anything. This is choosing between shit and slightly worse shit. I just have hope that things can get better. Voting Biden just seems like continuing down a hopeless path.

on the presidential level, no, what we have to do is nominate good congress people to hold a dem president accountable and push good legislation, if there isn't a dem president, then any effort to elect good congress people is pointless.
