I don't understand. If all of the parts are good the movie is good.

I feel like it falls into the category of film that are technically good & I fully recognize that & respect it, but I watched it once & never want to see it again. If it doesn't have a lasting effect I think something is missing.

But what is your idea of a good movie that is not just technically good, so your following, who's vocal minority seems to disagree in this one case, may have a framework for assessing this claim. Personally, I've yet to see it.

Ok, just saw the film, it's not the best of Korean cinema, it's a bit too traumatizing, like Kim Ki Duk's films. For my tastes the mildly problematic Hong Sang-Soo is easier to enjoy.
