the are you in the right headspace meme is from a script used to help people who have a hard time communicating what they mean

But the original meme was just about giving damaging inform to people out of nowhere in general, wasn't it? That seems to be the origin of the meme

Assuming that's a non-rhetorical question? "Are you in the right headspace..." is a good way to give someone neurodivergent some warning before you say something that could cause them problems. Mocking the phrase is basically mocking those people for needing it.
-
But isn't it a good way to give anyone some warning before you say something that could cause them problems? Like it seems like the comment is as broad as possible & neurodivergent people are included, but not specific to the comment

They think that it is making fun of people who are autistic...because the wording is awkward? In reality it is making fun an attempt to avoid harm by doing something far more harmful. Hence why it is Doctor Manhattan literally about to kill Rorschach.
-
Because the "awkward formal wording" is something commonly used by autistic people when upset, aka the exact people who use templates like that when we speak. So regardless of intent, it is fucking ableist to mock the templates in this manner.
