Campaigns like this are good. People should be engaged & feel like they can have an impact & make things better, but we need to keep in mind where the power lies & that regular people aren't going to fix Climate Change without changing institutional power.

Mark Rober addressed this in his video on it. 20 million trees will not have a significant impact in a practical sense. But it's more about sending a message to those in power that this is something we care about. We're doing what we can with what we have, now it's their turn.

handy hint: they aren't doing that and are in fact driving humanity to extinction, while people with far less money (in this case still very rich but not at all comparable) have to act instead.

Most of their money is in stocks, they could only do this if they sold everything then whoa, shit hits the fan for millions of people. they are filthy rich but not liquid
