This is a real dumb argument. A fry cook "works harder" than a Doctor too. Hard labor isn't the criteria for wages, it's your skills & the demand for those skills. I will support your proposal of "in line with modern productivity." Productivity is about 230% what it was in 1973 in "that chart" that we've all seen, and inflation since has been 560%, combined is 1288% *7.65 is $98.53 an hour. Let's go.
