i mean look, rudeness is rude, prejudice is prejudice. I'm not gonna be cool with anyone who discriminates against italian americans. But the point people are making is that "fredo" isn't as bad as the n word, and that seems almost absurdly uncontroversial right?

I'mmm a very confused italian, it seems a bit excessive to define them as slurs, they are manly stereotypes that I don't think perpetuates discrimination on a relevant level or at all, not in the present, and some it's even hard to say if they are insults. Is fredo coded racial?
-
Well frado isn't, but d@go, Guine@, Guid0 etc are definitely slurs. Italians used to be really discriminated against, definitely not to the same level of Black people. Idk, the words still seem to piss off Italian Americans so I'm guessing that they still carry some weight

This is "ephebophilia is not paedophilia" levels of cringe. Yeah they're not the same, and yeah that's a really weird thing for you to discuss.

Not really. That was the dudes claim. He said "don't say Fredo, it's as bad as the n-word".
