Also, Obama's incrementalism & constant caving to Republicans is partly responsible for the environment of disaffected people who voted for Trump. Going back to "normal" isn't going to actually fix anything

@hasanthehun@_michaelbrooks@MattLech@SamSeder@KyleKulinski I think I found the meme that@ModalSevenths is getting his politics from.https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/democratic-senators-pass-bills-rate/ … -
It is so frustrating when people like
@ModalSevenths act in bad faith. He's trying to muddy the argument by conflating passing bills to what gets done, most senators don't get stuff done by writing bills, but rather co-sponsoring and entering amendments - 4 more replies

This is absurd. The content of a bill is completely meaningless if it does not pass. Fantasies cannot help people, only tangible results can. And, to this note, it becomes necessary to tailor any bill to the point where it can/will pass.

Promoting this stance of shaming Dems for "constantly caving to Republicans" is politically naive and morally irresponsible. Unless you have a realistic plan to take veto-proof & filibuster-proof majorities in Congress, you're only blockading yourself from accomplishing anything.
