The inability to discern that there is a difference between an interview and a debate is a sign of a confiscated mind.

The same can be said about the mind that can't fathom an interview where views are challenged and people are held accountable for what they say or have said in the past. I guess half of interviews are debates now.

who said anything about turning the interview into a debate. This must be an american thing where interview seems to mean: "let someone just talk for ages with zero push back on their stupidity, then thank them at the end" Pointing out someone is talking shit isn't a "debate"

A good journalist will challenge the guest with difficult questions, especially if the guest claims to know how to solve problems. A bad journalist will basically do a Larry King type thing.
