Bro, investing in people's education means that they can earn more money, create more jobs, & will be able to spend more money. You have a completely one dimensional view of this. > The wealthy get taxed to fund education programs > People can spend more > The wealthy make more

Things Warren didn't offer: - Higher quality of education - More access to education - More valuable and fulfilling career paths Things Warren did offer: - completely screwing up the economy either by burning a whole bunch of lenders or adding a whole bunch of government debt
-
Actually what she said was Step 1: Create a new tax on the wealthy to pay off student loan debt Step 2: .... Step 3: Add a whole new branch of government debt I hate her plan now!

How hard is it to grasp that if every expensive thing is free the economy will tank
-
1. No one is saying that "every expensive thing is free. Nice strawman #1 2. Nothing is "free" It's being paid for with tax dollars. Nice strawman #2

I mean at this point slave owners have gotten more reparations for slavery than the people who were actually enslaved so why not?pic.twitter.com/Snu8avlHO8

Reparations, at least as some kind of payout from the Treasury, ain't gonna happen. So I don't see what the fuss is about

I always find it sad that conservatives can't understand that one way for goverments to invest in the economy is to invest in it's individual actors, not just companies. A more debt free populace also means more tax revenue through sales taxes. It's not a waste of money
