We expect all of our speakers to show up in good faith and not harass or taunt other speakers or guests at the event. Flipping someone off will be viewed as a violation of our expectations. Please keep that in mind. We want all of the speakers and guests to enjoy themselves.

Yes, and you know why? Because Carl was a panelist in a discussion defending the joke he made on Twitter. That doesn't violate the any of the event's policies, whereas being beligerant is. Funny how context matters.

Yes, he proudly defended a shitty comment that had no REAL justification (the reasons he's given are BS) and it caused the crowd to cheer. Even in context that's pretty heinous and worse than just telling someone casually to F-off.
