It is actually. We shouldn't do insults based around intelligence. If we must, ignorant is a better word.

I think it really depends on who you are talking to. Ignorant means that someone was simply unaware of something. Bad faith actors are willfully ignorant/don't care about the truth. This needs to be pointed out & imo they should be shamed & ridiculed.

But I do agree that people shouldn't use actual medical conditions as insults, which is why I stopped doing it. I don't think a meme that's saying "You're brainless" is targeted at any spacific group, like stupid, foolish, idiot etc.

I agree that there are a lot of 4chan memes that specifically mock people with medical conditions, but I don't think the one I used was one of them.

Yeah idk, I still think insults based on intelligence should not be used. Especially the brainless meme. I've been called brainless in school many times for my learning disability.

I don't think that's true at all. People just have to be willing to change. I and many people have dropped words like "stupid" and "crazy". I don't think calling people racist makes them more racist, and I don't think doing this will drag them further right either.

Hmmm, well I'm really sorry that you have been called things like this because of a learning disability. That's fucking shitty. I think words like "crazy" or "insane" pretty clearly target people with specific conditions so they shouldn't be used.

But I think words like "stupid", "dumb", "moron" etc are more general terms.

I mean I don't think they are. And I think we should listen to the disabled people that have an issue with that word. There are numerous other words we can use instead.

I've been trying to work these words out of my system too. Old habits die hard.
