The most successful people I’ve met: 1. Were basically delinquents who goofed off 2. Then got a lucky break 3. Mostly due to their parents connections 4. So they can coast off their parents/grandparents’ successful business 5. And either do nothing, or safely pursue their dreams

6. Probably don’t even remember me 7. Even though my resentment burns hotter than industrial grade plasma 8. Then I get depressed and remember I shouldn’t compare myself to others 9. Because the comparison will always be unfavorable

10. Because that’s how my mind works 11. And I can’t be happy with even the most minor victories I achieve 12. Because nothing will ever be good enough 13. Because I simultaneously think I’m totally shit 14. But also hold myself to impossible standards

15. Because absolute perfection is the only way I can claw my way up to being a worthwhile human being 16. But I’ll never reach perfection 17. Because I’ll always just move the goal post 18. Because I secretly believe I don’t deserve to be truly happy or satisfied

19. But seriously, one of my best friends is a master mechanic, working on cars and spending his money buying and flipping them. 20. And I couldn’t be more honored to know him, and always knew he’d do great

21. And then maybe I think being happy for others and offering any help to them where I can is where I can truly find any semblance of happiness for myself. 22. But then I think that’s just an excuse to be a lazy, living vicariously through others leech.

23. And this has gotten too deep. 24. I need to stop. 25. Use my potential energy to actually work on my own shit. 26. Which is coming along. 27. But is still not in any state where I can show people anything. 28. Which makes it easy to feel like I haven’t done anything at all.
