Come January 6th:
(Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything. - Stalin)
"Come January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence will be presented with the sealed certificates containing the ballots of the presidential electors.

At that moment, the Presidency will be in his hands.
And there is nothing stopping Pence, under the (plenary and unappealable) authority vested in him as President of the Senate, from declining to open and count the certificates from the six disputed states.

If they are (as more than 70% of Republicans believe) certificates from non-electors appointed via voter fraud, why should he open & count them?"
If the votes of all 7 contested states are registered as zero, President Trump will have 232 votes, Joe Biden will have 222.

Per the 12th Amendment: "[T]he votes shall then be counted[.] ... The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President[.]"

“The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.” It would be a dereliction of his Constitutional duty to not open. Not to mention the states decide legitimacy of votes.

"Shall" not "may". He is legally obligated to do so. Once again @Rassmussen_Poll getting those pesky facts wrong

Really? So why is the GOP bringing a lawsuit if this was in fact true?

Seriously? Some of you are still gonna take trump’s RIDICULOUS BEHAVIOR pretending he “won, by a lot, by the way” as anything but EMBARRASSING IN THE EXTREME?? No one in the history of the presidency has been as big a failure (hint: he didn’t try) and he’s acting like a big loser

Biden led in the polls all year. He made no mistakes, had a consistent message. United his party. Turned out the vote. And predictably beat a maniac who drove us into recession/pandemic/caught the virus the month before the election. Then millions flooded the streets and danced.

It says he "shall." He has no choice.
NOTHING in the 12th Am gives Pence or any Senator any power to "object."
“The Pres. of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate & House of Rep’s, open all the certificates & the votes shall then be counted;”
